For more than 35 years, Anil Sharma, affectionately known as Pandit Ji , has called Germany home. Throughout this time, he has built a successful life while remaining deeply rooted in his Indian heritage, culture and spiritual values. As the founder of Hindu Mandir Elmshorn, he has devoted his time, energy and heart to bringing people together and nurturing a place where faith, family, culture and community can flourish.
With warmth, humility and unwavering dedication, Pandit Ji has become a guiding force for the community. His leadership is inspired by a deep sense of responsibility towards society and a heartfelt desire to create opportunities for people of all generations to connect, learn, serve and grow together.
At the centre of his vision is an extraordinary dream for the future: A unique community and cultural centre designed in the sacred form of ॐ. More than a traditional temple, this envisioned centre would be a welcoming and vibrant space where spirituality, education, culture, health, service and intercultural understanding come together in harmony. It would offer a place for reflection, celebration, learning and meaningful connection—strengthening the community while sharing its values with the wider society.
Pandit Ji’s vision is guided by a simple yet profound belief: What is built today should serve not only the present generation, but also those who follow. Through his faith, perseverance and inspiring example, Anil Sharma encourages the community to work together with unity and purpose, creating a lasting legacy founded on Seva, Sanskar and Samaj.
